2020-21 PSAC555 Executive and Health and Safety Officer Elections -nominations are open now and voting starts August 31, 2020.

We are holding elections for 2020-2021 PSAC555 Executive Officers and Health and Safety Representatives from August 31st, 2020 to September 8th, 2020.

PSAC TA/RA & Invigilators working group:
In the Fall 2020 term, we will be establishing the working group to review LOU #5 (p.24 of ratification kit).

Looking for Clinical Instructors in the Health Science Faculty.
The employer has invited us to work with them on creating fair and transparent contract policies. If you would be interested in being part of this working group, please contact our office at Office@PSAC555.ca
The PSAC COVID19 $10,000.00 Emergency Fund:
Due to COVID19, the employer has cut back on contracts and canceled almost all of the invigilation employment.
To help address these new working conditions, the membership established a $10,000.00 Covid19 Membership Emergency Fund on the 2020/21 Academic Year Budget.
These funds can be distributed to the membership to help them cover up to $200 shortfalls in their rent, groceries or another monthly bill.
At this point, members have used 65% of the fund. If you need help, please let us know and apply to this fund.
This fund is adjudicated every 1st and the 15th of the month.
Due Date Reminder for the PSAC555 Wellness Fund Spring/Summer Cycles:
Hardship Fund (May 1st, 2020- August 31, 2020 expenses): The due date for your application is September 30, 2020.
Post-Doctoral Fellow Fund (May 1st, 2020- August 31,2020 expenses): The due date for your application is September 30, 2020.
Professional Development Fund (March 16th, 2020- September 15, 2020 expenses): The due date for your application is October 15, 2020.

PSAC555 Foodbank:
As a PSAC555 member, you have access to our foodbank program. If you are hungry or in need please email our Office@PSAC555.ca for food assistance.
OFFICE Hours:
ERC1085 (the PSAC555 local office) will not be physically occupied until further notice. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact our office at Office@PSAC555.ca. We are also able to do conference calls and google meetings with our membership- if you would like to chat.
