Pizza in the Commons:

We are eager to meet everyone- so will be having some pizza days for our members this summer on:

July 20, 2022- Pizza in the Commons 11-1 pm

August 10, 2022- Pizza in the Commons 11-1 pm

Sign up for Online Union education happening on August 2nd.

Talking Union Basics (TUB)

Introduces members to the PSAC and prepares them for more advanced union education. It provides a historical and structural overview of the union, introduces participants to the collective agreement and, gives them a chance for hands-on practice in problem-solving.

Introduction for Local Officers Training

Gives Local Officers essential knowledge for upholding their Local responsibilities and building a strong union. Participants learn:

  • How an effective Local functions;
  • Roles and responsibilities of the Local Executive;
  • How Executives can work well as a team, engage members, and
  • Deal effectively with management.

These courses are the prerequisites for other Union courses that will be offered throughout the year.  Please register by sending an email to Office@PSAC555.ca

They are giving more information on this committee and doing sign-ups at the Pizza events.

Faculty Steward Network:

Are you interested in being a faculty steward?  It is a great opportunity to find out more about Union work and help your faculty community members resolve any issue.

Health and Safety Worker Representatives Required:

There are two openings for a Post Doctoral Fellow Health and Safety Representative for the North and downtown campuses. 

There is one position for a Sessional Instructor Health and Safety Representative for the downtown campus.

These are paid positions.  Please let us know if you are interested, email Office@PSAC555.ca

PSAC555- Office Hours 

  • UB2037- Mondays and Wednesdays 9:30 to 5:00 pm in July and August.
  • The office will be closed the week of July 25th and the week of August 15, 2022.
