Annual General Members Meeting:

Save the date April 20th, 2021 at 4 pm.

AGENDA:

  1. Updates from your 2020-21 PSAC555 executive officers on their portfolios.
  2. The financial review of last year’s 2020-21 Academic Year Budget.
  3. Presentation of the 2021-22 Academic Year Budget. And we will be voting on the acceptance of the new 2021-22 Academic Year Budget.
  4. An all-candidates meeting, for the candidates of the 2021-22 PSAC555 executive during the AGM. (All candidates must attend this meeting).

The first 30 people to RSVP to the event (and attend the event) will receive PSAC555 SWAG. 

PSAC555 Executive Elections:

Nominations are open from April 12 to April 16- Link to Nomination forms

You can run for as many positions as you want- but you can only hold one position.

As per our by-laws. You can also nominate people from the AGM floor on April 20th, 2021.

Ballot Boxes open and closing dates/times:

The President portfolio ballot box is open April 27, from 10 am- 2 pm

Vice President of Invigilator/ TA and RA Affairs, Vice President of Sessional and Clinical Instructor Affairs, & Vice President of Post-Doctoral Fellow Affairs are open April 27, from 3 pm to 5 pm

Chief Steward of Invigilator/ TA and RA Affairs, Chief Steward of Sessional and Clinical Instructor Affairs, & Chief Steward of Post-Doctoral Fellow Affairs are open on April 28, from 10 am to 12 pm.

The Treasurer portfolio ballot box is open from April 28, from 1 pm to 3 pm.

The Secretary portfolio ballot box is open from April 28, from 4 pm to 6 pm.

Finance Committee Meetings:

The finance committee will be meeting in April prior to the AGM to create the 2021-22 PSAC555 Academic Year Budget.  If you have any budget items you would like the finance committee to consider while creating this budget please send them to Office@PSAC555.ca

PSAC 555 Sessional & Clinical Instructor Bargaining Priorities:

Thank you to everyone who participated in the Sessional Bargaining Survey. We have established the following four top priorities:

  1. Increase Job Security (access to multi appointments)
  2. Job Postings- Fair and Equitable hiring process
  3. Defining a course and workload limits- clear definitions of job expectations (description of duties)
  4. Equitable Mileage Policies

Other proposals will include The right to disconnect, Health, and Safety during Pandemics, “Equity Diversity & Inclusion Survey”, Protections from Harassment/ Bullying and Discrimination language, and Childcare.

Mobilization Team update and Volunteer Opportunity:  The mobilization team is sending out a CI -Clinical Instructor survey to help the bargaining team negotiate the duties of a CI.  Please fill this survey out (if you are a CI).

They are also looking for volunteers for this committee.  They are accepting volunteers from all units, so if you would like to help them during their negotiations please let us know at Office@PSAC555.ca
